We meet with individuals, seniors, premarital, couples, youth, children, lay leaders, and pastors. We do discipleship based counseling. We address depression, anger, self-harm, shame, self-loathing, renewed self-talk, confusion, defeat, addiction, anxiety, abuse, hopelessness, marital issues, pre-marital, confusion, spiritual warfare, etc.
We “preach Christ crucified, the power and the wisdom of God”, so that every believer can experience freedom from bad habits, flesh patterns, sin, fear, shame, guilt, emotional wounds, relational struggles, weariness, the past, confusion, doubt, and that angst that often rolls around on the inside. The promises of God are “Yes” and “Amen”. They are powerful. They are for today. They are for you. They are for every believer to minister to others too.
Knowing the truth sets you free; Sharing the truth sets others free!
Every believer can be “equipped for the work of ministry, to the building up of the body of Christ”. With experiential training and equipping, every believer is able to minister the same lasting freedom and healing that they have experienced and fulfill their call and ministry to the church body.
Life Center, a non-profit 501(3)(c), has been ministering Christ’s life in the community since 1980.
God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. ~ Colossians 1:27-28
For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming. Still, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual parts, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. ~ Ephesians 4:12-16
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men but on the power of God. ~ 1 Corinthians 2:2-5
“My word by which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” ~ Isaiah 55:11
What We Believe
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that God, the Son, who always existed, became a man (without diminishing His deity) by virgin birth through Mary. He lived a sinless life and, as the infinite God-Man, took upon Himself the sins of all men, died in their place, and satisfied God concerning their sins. We further believe in the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He was then ascended and exalted to the right hand of God as the Great High Priest of all believers.
We believe God created man in the image and likeness of God. In Adam’s sin, mankind fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is born depraved and, of himself, he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. Apart from faith in Jesus Christ (salvation), each person remains in Adam.
Our belief is that all who have come to the reliance upon the work of Christ for their salvation will never lose this relationship.
Each believer partaking of eternal life (Christ’s life) was united with Christ and thus was spiritually crucified, buried, raised, and enthroned with Christ. The old man died then. The results of co-crucifixion must become an experiential reality to each believer as he chooses to walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh if he is to walk in victory. Sanctification, then, is Christ living His life out through the believer. We are not teaching passivity, sinless perfection, or the deification of man.
Verbal Inspiration of the Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, to be verbally inspired by God in the original manuscripts, infallible, inerrant, and God-breathed, a perfect rule of faith and practice.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. His present ministry to believers also includes empowering, teaching, and leading into all truth.
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:7).
We believe that salvation is the gift of God to man by grace through faith (apart from any works). Salvation is received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins. Upon receiving salvation, the person receives eternal life and becomes a partaker of Christ’s life. At the moment of faith, Christ indwells that person, and that person is in Christ. He becomes a new creation and obtains a new identity as a child of God.
Devil and Demons
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel who is aided by a host of evil spirit beings called demons. Their design is to destroy believers, their homes and their churches blinding the lost to the gospel. Every believer is subject to their attack but may be made victorious through Jesus Christ.
